Karnataka NEET PG Eligiblity Criteria for Government Quota : Govt. Seats under State Quota & A % of seats under Private institutes & Private Universities
Karnataka NEET PG Seat Category : Govt. Quota (G)
State Quota seats(50% of total Govt. seats) & a % of seats under each Private Minority, Private Non-minority and Private University seats. The % varies
Eligibility criteria (any one of the 2 criteria)
- Studied and Passed MBBS from an Institute in the State of Karnataka (or)
- Studied and Passed MBBS from any institute in India AND has studied any 10 years from 1st to12th Standard in Karnataka AND passed either 10th or 12th standard exam from Karnataka*
Reservations in Govt. Quota seats only for Karnataka candidates. Hyd-Kar Region quota for local candidates of that region
*Children of All India Service from Karnataka cadre, Union Govt. employees / State undertakings whose home town is Karnataka, Members of Parliament, Defence personnel, Ex Service men would have relaxation on rule of 10 years study /exam within Karnataka
Karnataka NEET PG Private Quota seat ELigiblity Criteria : A % of Private Institute & A % of Private University Seats
Seat Category : Private Seats (P)
- General Merit Private (GMP)
- Studied and Passed MBBS from any institute in India AND has studied any 10 years from 1st to12th Standard in Karnataka AND passed either 10th or 12th standard exam from Karnataka
- Open Quota Seats (OPN)
- Candidates from all over India including FMGs (Validate if FMGs eligible)
Seat Category : Private Seats (N) (15%)
- NRI Quota Seats (N)
- All NRI / NRI Wards / PIO / OCI candidates (or)
- Children of Non-resident Indian or their Wards (or)
- Foreign Nationals
Seat Category : Private Seats (Other Quota ) (5%)
- Others Seats (Q) – Higher fee structure
- Candidates from all over India including FMGs but excluding NRIs / PIOs / OCIs / Foreign Nationals
