Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2024 : Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Candidates who have passed MBBS from Dr. M.G.R Medical University or have a Domicile in Tamil Nadu are eligible for state quota seats.
- Non-Domicile: Candidates who have completed the MBBS degree course from other medical universities need to produce an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Dr M.G.R Medical University, Tamil Nadu during counselling.
- Education: The applicants must have completed their MBBS degree from a medical university recognized by the NMC.
- Entrance exam: The candidate must have qualified for the NEET PG 2024.
- Internship: The candidate must have completed their mandatory one-year internship.

Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling Procedure
DME, Chennai will conduct in total three rounds of Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 medical counselling including a mop-up round. The counselling for Tamil Nadu PG medical admission 2024 will be conducted in an online mode. Step 1 Registration: Go to the official website of DME at tnmedicalselection.net.
- At the home page click on the ‘PG Courses-Medical’ tab.
- Select the course and log in with the NEET PG 2024 Roll number and password.
- Enter the required details in the respective fields.
- Verify details and submit the information to complete the registration.
Step 2 Pay Registration Fee: After registration is completed the candidate needs to pay the fee.
- Go to the ‘Pay Registration Fee’ option available after form submission.
- Enter registration credentials and pay the registration fee.

- Confirm payment through the online payment portal and download the fee receipt.
Step 3 Pay Security Money: The candidate needs to pay the security deposit based on medical college seats.

Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2024 Choice Filling and Locking process will be done after the registration process is completed and the state merit list is released. The candidates who are declared eligible in the state merit list must complete the choice-filling procedure and lock their choice in due time to get the seat allotted for TN PG admission.
Here are key points for Tamil Nadu NEET PG choice filling and locking:
- Candidate must log in to their accounts with registration credentials to fill in the choices.
- While completing the choice filling there will be two confirmation pop-ups on the web page before choice locking.
- TN authorities will send an OTP on the registered mobile number of the candidates.
- Once choice locking is done candidates must take the printout of the submitted choices.
- In case of failure to lock the choice before the last date of choice filling the system will automatically lock options for the candidate.
Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling Seat Allotment & Reporting
The Selection Committee releases the seat allotment list, which is prepared on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates and their ranks in the State Merit List. Selected candidates have to report to the allotted institute along with all their documents on the scheduled date and time.
However, candidates can also opt for e-reporting this year. If a candidate is unable to report to the institute in-person, he/she can send a confirmatory email to the respective institute along with the scanned copies of their documents. The admissions confirmed through email will be provisional and subject to successful verification of their documents.
