Postponed NEET PG 2023 Exam : As the cut-off date to complete the compulsory medical internship has been extended till June 30, Medical students are now demanding the postponement of NEET PG 2023. NBE has fixed March 5 as the exam date and results will be out by March 31, but students will not be able to participate in the medical counseling process to be held in July until they complete their one-year internship.

As per the recent updates, hundreds of medical students appearing for NEET PG 2023 started a social media campaign on Twitter demanding the postponement of the NEET PG 2023 exam, which trended #PostponeNEETPG2023 on Twitter.

Reasons for Postponement of the Exam

There is a many Reason for Postponement of the NEET PG Exam , But Some of them Genuine Reason to Postpone the exam Like :

  • NEET PG 2022 Counselling End on 14th January 2023 . Aspirants can’t get preparation time for NEET PG 2023 Exam . Even though they not get much revision time to cover all topic once till 5th March 2023.
  • NEET PG 2023 Internship Cut-off Date is 30th June 2023. And Counselling Cannot be start before 30th June . So there is a gap of minimum 4 months between Exam and Counselling, So better to Studying instead of sitting idle for minimum four months is better.
  • The gap between NEET PG 2023 exam date on March 5 and counselling will leave interns with no job for nearly 4-5 months.
  • More than 10000 Aspirants Still Ineligible for NEET PG 2023 Exam because in many State Internship complettion date is August . State Like Telangana , Kerala etc.

This year too, majority of students have been demanding postponement stating that the gap between NEET PG 2023 exam date on March 5 and counselling will leave interns with no job for nearly 4-5 months.

owever, the national chairman FAIMA doctors association founding member, Rohan Krishnan said,” we will try our best to postpone NEET PG. Things don’t happen just by a letter. I am in constant verbal communication and commitment with Ministry. Trying to meet @OfficeOf_MM sir to give letter by hand. Requesting @mansukhmandviya to give appointment. “

National vice-president of United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), Lakshya Mittal said, Have words with Former DGHS, health ministry regarding #NEETPG2023. Accordingly, @NMC_IND should be “Student-Centric” & should listen to the genuine demands of aspirants for #PostponeNEETPG2023 with immediate effect & requesting HM @mansukhmandviya ji to intervene.”

“Kindly postpone neet pg for 1-2 months as taking exam on 5th march and waiting for 3-4 months for counselling is not going to benefit neet pg aspirants,” another medical aspirant said.

Requesting to postpone NEET PG 2023 exam, an aspirant tweeted, “We served the Nation during #covid without asking anything in return.”
